Annie Orr

Annie is a Physical Therapy Assistant with Sprout Pediatrics.  Annie graduated from Wintrop University with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training in 2012. Annie worked as a Certified Athletic Trainer at two high schools prior to returning to school for her Associate of Science in Physical Therapy Assistant.  Annie graduated from Midlands in 2016 and began working for Sprout Pediatrics once she was licensed by the state.

Over the years Annie had several internships which helped her develop a better understanding for pediatric care. For a few weeks she was able to work in the NICU at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital treating newborn infants with a wide ranging diagnoses. She also spent several weeks at Health South in their outpatient facility. There she worked with stroke patients who were learning to eat, speak, and walk again. Annie’s last internship was with Sprout Pediatrics where she gained a lot of experience in home health pediatric therapy which ultimately lead her to pursue a career in this setting.

Annie shares, “Working with children is the best job ever! I love seeing children meet developmental milestones that help prepare them for a better future.  It is such a rewarding job!” Annie also adds she  enjoys working at Sprout Pediatrics because she loves how all disciplines work together to provide the best quality of care for each specific child. Here at Sprout Pediatrics Annie feels each member of our staff is extremely helpful, and she appreciates how we are able to bounce ideas off of one another that can be useful for individual treatments.

Annie has been married to Josh for 2 years. They are currently expecting their first child in April 2018. They enjoy hiking, kayaking, and spending time with family and friends.
