Jen Horgan

  • Jen is a Speech Language Pathologist with Sprout Pediatrics. She graduated in 2004 from the University of Florida, with her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She then pursued her M.A. in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Florida and graduated in 2006. She also specializes in child language development, autism spectrum disorders, and articulation and phonology.

For the past 10 years, Jen has worked with children and adults with developmental disabilities in school, home and clinic settings. Through these opportunities, she has gained valuable insight into how the communication needs of individuals with developmental disabilities change throughout the years. Through working with older children and adults, she learned a great deal about the foundation that is needed in the early years, in order to maximize a child’s communication potential. Jen states, “While I enjoy working with all ages, I spent the past 4 years prior to beginning at Sprout, working in a pediatric private practice in Atlanta, GA. Working with young children and their families is what I enjoy the most- I LOVE being a pediatric SLP!” Jen feels that helping children maximize their communication potential and teaching parents how to become partners in this process, is exciting and rewarding! The potential for growth is just so great in our young children!
Jen shares that Sprout Pediatrics has an amazing multi-disciplinary team, which she loves being a part of! There is an awesome team of therapists, all with different skills and specialties- it is extremely helpful to have such a talented team to work with and learn from.

Jen’s husband, Tim, is a pediatric resident at Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital. They have one daughter, Susie, who will turn two in December and are expecting a baby boy in November. They are both big college football fans, love playing tennis and love spending time with their families!
