Kayla Williams

  • Kayla is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with Sprout Pediatrics, LLC. Kayla is originally from Lexington and graduated from Lexington High School. She later attended Columbia College and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2006. Kayla later went on to the University of South Carolina and earned a Master in Communication Disorders in 2009.

    While working on her graduate degree, Kayla began working in Richland/Lexington School District 5. Over the course of 13 years, Kayla has worked with a variety of speech and language disorders, ranging from 3-21 years old. Five of those years, she also worked in early intervention and private therapy. Kayla is particularly gifted at treating children who need early language therapy and Childhood Apraxia of Speech therapy. While Kayla has served children with all disabilities, she has extensive experience with children who are on the Spectrum of Autism.

    Kayla is a seeker of learning and continuing to grow as a professional and has most recently I attended conferences on Children Who Struggle to Speak:The Kaufman Speech to Language Protocol and Effective Strategies and Interventions and Resources for Autism, ADHD, and Sensory Processing Disorder: Managing and Minimizing Misbehavior in Children. In 2014, Kayla was Nationally Board Certified in Early Childhood-Young Adult/Exceptional Needs Specialist Kayla says, “this field evolves practice and research, so I am always learning; however my biggest teachers are the children!”

    Kayla shares she is excited to branch out and work with sprout because, “Sprout genuinely cares about the children and families they serve and is true to their values. Everyone has been so welcoming and supportive! I am truly thankful and excited to be a part of the family at #teamsprout!”

    Kayla is married to Chad and they have a daughter Kalli and son Cam. While their daughter Kalli keeps them busy with her travel softball, you can also find her refinishing or repainting furniture, hanging out near a body of water, or cheering on the Gamecocks!
